What's up for 2023?

 With 2022 quickly vanishing I've been reflecting on what I was involved in artistically this year. I was surprised with the volume of different events and the twists and turns that my business took as the year progressed. January saw me at Queen Victoria market in one of the String Bean Alley sheds exhibiting my first solo project "Resilience" based on the traders at QVM and how we formed community and supports through covid. I moved to the Macedon Ranges and threw myself into interactive art events at local farmers markets, joined a collective, participated in group exhibitions and art shows, was commissioned for personal pieces, had unexpected publicity in local papers and the Tourist News, and received feedback from an Archibald finalist! Just recently I started Brush n Bubbles parties encouraging people to give painting a go in a relaxed environment. 

My plans for next year include growing the art parties to include a fixed venue as well as keeping a mobile option, introducing group plein-air painting whilst the weather allows us to be outside, running life-drawing classes and taking commissions for special orders. A fun year it will be!
